For Individuals With Severe and Persistent Mental Illness

Two key features of our clinical services are:

1. A comprehensive mental health program tailored to meet the individual’s needs; and

2. Ongoing psychiatric treatment coupled with effective support services.

IN ADDITION:  NYPCC provides selective clinical services for the Dual-Diagnosed Individual.  NYPCC’s CDT programs have a MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abuser) track, offering treatment for individuals with the combined problems of mental illness and chemical abuse.  Individuals learn to manage their mental illness and deal with their substance abuse simultaneously.
An Individualized Treatment Plan is developed for each person.  It encompasses psychiatric evaluation, medication therapy (if appropriate), individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and overall case management.  Individuals participate in a variety of therapeutic activities geared toward rehabilitation and recovery, conducted in a supportive environment.

Therapeutic groups offered include:

• Medication Education
• Mental Health Awareness
